About me
Life throws curveballs—struggles with emotional regulation, communication, and holding boundaries can pull us away from the life we want. Together, we’ll tackle these challenges using a personalized blend of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and talk therapy, with a lift from Solution‑Focused techniques. We’ll look at how your biology, environment, and psychology can realign to support your goals—and yes, there will be infographics and worksheets to make the work engaging and accessible.
In our sessions, we’ll explore the many layers of your mental well‑being, emphasizing acceptance, resilience, and growth. This journey is about discovering your strengths while moving toward meaningful change, supported by psychoeducation and personal work between sessions. Expect accountability, honesty, reflection—and the full range of human emotion, from tears to laughter, with a touch of age‑appropriate salty language.
My space is intentionally inclusive, and I genuinely appreciate what each person brings. I value the wisdom of my elders and the raw honesty and energy of younger voices. With 15 years of experience as an educator for children ages 4–10, along with work with youth in the justice system and adults with diverse abilities, I’ve seen firsthand the power of diverse perspectives. Since making a mid‑life shift into counselling, I’ve focused on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), mood disorders, PTSD, and addiction. Authenticity is the foundation of a welcoming, non‑judgmental environment.
Let’s embrace the beauty of vulnerability and honesty together—and don’t be surprised if we share a laugh over the absurdity of life, especially those moments when we know we could have shone just a little brighter.
